At 1615 hrs., units dispatched to I-80 Eastbound at mile 279 for the motor vehicle accident, county stating possible entrapment. Engine 1811 with Chief 1801 arrived to find a single car into the woods with 5 passengers, 2 were killed during the impact, 2 others seriously injured and the driver entrapped. Dist. 18 performed the extrication of the driver and they were loaded into the waiting ambulance along with 2 other patients. Units assisted the coroner in removing the 2 deceased patients before being released. Units operated for 2 hours.
